Hello LVLL Families,

Our 67th Season of baseball is in the books, and it was another great one!

First and foremost, I would like to thank our volunteers. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we simply would not exist if it weren’t for the hundreds of parents that step up to contribute to the LVLL experience on a daily basis. Thank you to our Board of Directors, and our Coaches and Managers for your enthusiasm and passion. The parents that rake and line the fields, score-keep the games, help with warmups and of course, work tirelessly at concession – you are all amazing and appreciated!

END OF SEASON RE-CAP
Congratulations to our Division Champions:

  • SINGLE A Dodgers are the Champions; White Sox runner-up
  • AA: Cardinals are the Champions; Giants runner-up
  • AAA: Blue Jays are the Champions;  Angels runner-up
  • MAJORS: Giants are the Champions; Reds runner-up

We had over 774 players enjoy a fun season of growth and learning. We look forward to watching these young players continue to find their love for the game, and grow with LVLL.

BAT-A-THON
Through our annual Bat-A-Thon, LVLL players collectively raised over $19,000! Thank you to all who made an effort to raise funds to support the league. These funds will be used towards upgrades and new equipment. Some major initiatives for the upcoming season include upgrades to the cage at Kirkstone, and a proper score booth for the AAA diamond at Kilmer Park.

COACH OF THE YEAR
Thank you for nominating your favourite coaches for Coach of the Year honours. I’m happy to share with you this season’s Coach of the Year recipients. All of these coaches embody the LVLL spirit and the league is fortunate to have them onboard.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
Our league is blessed to have many dedicated volunteers who are constantly working away behind the scenes. We had nominations for many of our volunteers this year, but the most callouts went to the concession team, most notably, Renee, Libby, and Corinna! Without the dedication of these three ladies concession would not operate at Kilmer.

NICK HARRISON RESILIENCE MEMORIAL AWARD
LVLL is proud to introduce the Nick Harrison Resilience Memorial Award, presented annually to a player who demonstrates exceptional resilience in the face of personal hardship or adversity while maintaining a positive attitude, supporting their teammates, and contributing to their team’s success.

Nick Harrison dedicated countless hours to our league as a volunteer coach, mentor, and supporter of youth baseball. He was a devoted parent, coach, teammate, and friend whose impact extended far beyond the diamond. Nick embodied the values of perseverance, sportsmanship, and community, and his courageous battle with cancer was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Throughout this difficult journey, Nick’s son, Reilly Harrison, continued to show up for his teammates, coaches, and the game he loves. Despite facing challenges and loss that no child should have to endure, Reilly carried himself with remarkable strength, positivity, and determination. This season, he helped lead the Cardinals back to the league championship game while navigating unimaginable personal resilience.

Through the creation of this award, the league wishes to honour both Nick’s lasting legacy and Reilly’s extraordinary resilience.
